Rules and Regulations for the YCES Mad Science Fair:
- Think safety first! Every Mad Scientist should have an adult available for assistance.
- If there are dangerous aspects of the experiment, like using sharp tools or experimenting with electricity, an adult needs to be present or do the dangerous parts.
- Live animals may be used in projects, however live animals may not be displayed at the science fair. Photographs, drawings, or other illustrations should be used instead. Do not perform any experiment that may harm an animal.
- You may not bring the materials of your experiment as part of your display or perform the experiment live during judging. Projects will only be judged on your presentation board.
- Small items from your experiment may easily fit on your display board, however please note that we have some students with allergies at YCES. Please be respectful and choose appropriate items to display.
