What a Great Turnout!!

What a great turnout we had this evening!  

Thank you to everyone - parents and family and friends - that stopped by to view our student projects!

The reviews have been wonderful - this years Science Fair was a success!!  What a great thing to be able to share the accomplishments of our YCES student body with the community.

We're already getting excited for next year!

Over the next few days we will make sure that project boards are returned to students in their classrooms so they can be taken home.

Please note that we will keep this website open - feel free to look around for great ideas to start planning your next scientific experiments.  There are some great website links on the side column to keep you thinking about science all throughout the year!

Our students proved that learning really IS fun!  Way to go YC!!!!

Science Fair Project Viewing

Woohoo!!!!!!

We have scheduled the viewing of YCES science fair projects!!!!

A note was just sent out by the YCES office that explains the details - here are the major points:

Due to the recent weather issues the display of the MAD Science Fair projects has been rescheduled for tomorrow Wednesday February 12.  

There will be two different viewing times at YCES:

1) during lunch time from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm in the gym

2) in the evening from 5:30 to 7:00 pm in the cafeteria

Please come and witness all of the hard work our students put in. Let's show our support for their efforts!!!

Thanks again to everyone that helped a student participate in the annual YCSD Science Fair!!!!!!!

The details are still being arranged for viewing our Mad Scientists display boards and projects.  As soon as these details are confirmed, we will announce viewing of the YCES Science Fair Projects.  

This crazy weather has changed plans for so many - we want to make sure that we can set up a schedule that will accommodate as many as possible.

We're so excited to see all of the hard work our kids put in!!!

It will be rescheduled!

Hello again to the Mad Scientists at YCES ...

You all ROCK!!!!!! 

It sounds like we have about 40 different projects being entered in the school wide science fair tomorrow - that is amazing!!!  Way to go!!!!!!!

Do you want to see your project on display?
Would you like to see what other people studied?
Are you interested in finding out which ones the judges like best?

Go take a look at the various entries to the YCSD Science Fair tomorrow, February 6th at the middle school in Yamhill.  There is sure to be some amazing talent in that building!  Go see what your friends turned in and maybe even get some neat ideas for next year!

Thanks again to ALL of the parents and supportive adults to helped students during this entire process.

YCES hallways have enjoyed sharing dynamic displays for the Science Fair over the past month. (Thanks for your amazing work Jodi Pellegrino!!)

One More Day!!!

Hello all of you YCES Mad Scientists! 

We are SO close!!!! 

The time has come!!!!!!!!!!

All elementary school project display boards for the YCSD Science Fair are due at YCES tomorrow - Wednesday, February 5th.  They will be transported to the middle school tomorrow afternoon for judging on Thursday, February 6th.

Tell everyone you know! Anyone can visit and view the Science Fair exhibits. We're excited to share the hard work that all of our students put into their projects!

Please note that our display boards will return to YCES after the projects have been judged. They will then be on display in our gym so everyone at school can see  what fun science can be!!!

Thank you again to all the parents and teachers and everyone who has helped a student prepare for this big event!!
